ScienceTalk NW Conference

Interested in how science gets communicated to broad audiences? Want to hone your science communication skills?    Register for Science Talk NW, a 2-day science communication conference January 26-27, 2017, at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry in Portland, OR sponsored in part by UO Science Literacy Program and Washington State University at Vancouver.

Science Talk NW features keynotes by Jorge Cham (PhD Comics) and Nancy Baron (COMPASS Online), interactive workshops, and a science communication contest.

The Science Literacy Program can support registration fees for the entire conference for some UO graduate students and postdocs who will participate in the Science Communication Contest. Please email Elly Vandegrift (ellyvan@uoregon.edu) for more information.

A Community for Minorities in STEM

A Community for Minorities in STEM would like to cordially invite you to our Summer Social Happy Hour! This is an event open to all of our members and allies, including undergraduates, graduates, faculty, and staff at UO. The event will take place on Friday, August 19 at Sidelines on Broadway. Food will graciously be provided by CoDaC, and we have special reduced drink prices for event attendees between 6 and 9pm!
